Can you believe that someone would do this?
This is a good reason that ONLY licensed electricians should do electrical work in school systems, and Inspectors should take the time to look above drop ceilings! It seems a sub panel had to be relocated in this room, so they just made this open air splice above the drop ceiling. They installed the panel and put conduit up into the ceiling, since the inspector and apparently noone else looked above the ceiling tiles to see that the conduit stops and the wires are exposed. The wires are even laying on the flourescent light fixtures. I can't think of any place that work like this could be considered OK, let alone a school full of children all day! The people responsible for this in any way should lose their jobs!!!
