Is it really worth it? The time involved to make this repair and the potential further damage that could have been caused, and almost did! Just go to the store and buy another.

A so called friend and self proclaimed "licensed electrician" installed this for a customer. Charged top dollar and told them it would solve their electrical problems in the house. Well, no it didn't! and it made it worse!

This is the view from the front. Not only could they not combine the switches and make one 2 gang box nice and neat, but they didn't even use an electrical box for the second switch.

Another example of water sneaking in the main electrical panel along the feed wires. You can see on the neutral lug a drip of water ready to fall and that over time will cause an electrical failure.

How is this for moving the smoke detector to the drop ceiling? The home inspector wrote the report because the smoke detectors didn't work, but if he opened up a ceiling tile he would have seen a lot more!!!

This is amazing! 100A Main electrical panel inside a bedroom closet. Down low and very unsafe. Water entering and causing electrical problems due to crappy installation. Caught just in time, as you can see the corrosion and damage done by the arcing!

The problem is NOT from water getting in the meter pan from the outside!!! The real problem is when the water goes in the coating of the SEC and then runs through it to enter at all connection points. By just following the path of the wires.

This was a fan box on a drop ceiling. How do you like that use of romex? Probably had some extra after they tied the ladders down on the truck;)! Take a close look and you can see they even skinned the romex to support the drop ceiling too!
